What is being done by Israel to help in some way.

"Despite the terror onslaught, Israel continues to supply electricity and water to the Palestinian people, and these plants are sometimes hit by the rockets fired by Hamas from within the Gaza Strip, cutting power to thousands.  Since the begining of 2013, over 20,000 truckloads of supplies from Israel have crossed into Gaza for consumption and use by the citizens.  These supplies include meat, vegitables, canned foods, medical supplies, fuel, water, medical equipment, animal food, school supplies, and cosmetic products."

There is nothing good about this situation for the people of Gaza,
but we need to find the correct source of the problem
in order to find a solution.

Here is a final video from Fox News -
formulate your own opinion,
who do you think is to blame for the crisis in Gaza?

Why the blockade?-

"Following the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza in 2005, the terrorist organization Hamas emerged as the victor in the 2006 Palestinian elections.  Since the establishment of Hamas in the early 1990's, they have been known to Israel as violent antisemitic terrorists and have been classified by 7 countries as a terrorist organization.  After Hamas won the election Israel and "The Quartet on the Middle East" (US, Russia, UN, EU) imposed economic sanctions on Gaza, including the cessation of foreign aid to the Palestinian government, and restrictions on movement, imposed by Israel.  In order to lift these economic sanctions and movement restrictions, Hamas must: renounce violence against Israel, recognize Israel, and honor all previous agreeemnts between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.  Following the Battle of Gaza in June 2007 in which Hamas militarilly defeated Fatah, both Israel and Egypt heavily tightened their respective border crossings, creating a "blockade".  This blockade includes a naval blockade.  So far Hamas has not conceeded to these stipulations, and the blockade is still in place."

Leader of Hamas -

  1. Khaled Mashal (Arabic: خالد مشعل‎ Khālid Mashʿal, Levantine Arabic: [xaːled meʃʕal], born 28 May 1956) is a Palestinian political leader and the leader of the Islamic Palestinian organization Hamas since the Israeli assassination of Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi in 2004.
Forbes top 15 richest countries

The Leader of Hamas lives in Qatar and according to Forbes Qatar is the richest country in the world.
Ask yourself why the leader of Hamas the doesn't live in Gaza.

"In Gaza, 1.7 million Palestinians currently live without clean drinking water. With no perennial streams and low rainfall, Gaza relies on a single aquifer for all of its fresh water. The coastal aquifer, Zander Swinburne reported, is contaminated with sewage, chemicals, and seawater. The Palestinian Water Authority recently determined that 95 percent of the water in Gaza does not meet World Health Organization (WHO) standards for human consumption."

This is taken from the Project Censored article.

Unfortunately these are facts, the lack of clean water in Gaza is very real.
But maybe it doesn't have to be.
This is a map of all of the countries that support Gaza financially.

Palestinian Reform and Development Program

In 2012, the former Emir of Qatar visited Gaza and made a donation of $400 million to Hamas, a donation The New York Times reported would go towards “two housing complexes, rehabilitate three main roads, and create a prosthetic center, among other projects.”

Hamas appear to have diverted the funds to terror projects. The Qatari smoke screen of donating to ‘civilian projects’ fools few people, Israeli officials say.

Gelbman a former IDF special forces lieutenant and a U.S.-based security consultant, said instead of building terror tunnels, Hamas could have used the same money, equipment, and engineering to construct sewage and water treatment facilities, improve old infrastructure, build schools, and even create beach front resorts
While its leaders live lavish lifestyles with luxurious villas on the Mediterranean shore, most Gazans sit and suffer as government workers go unpaid and money that could have been used to improve many lives continues to be squandered on Hamas’ pursuit of destroying Israel.
“Only judging by their deeds you understand that there is no way that [Qatari] money went to civilian programs” said Amidror. “The materials went for military purposes.”

This isn't all of the money given to the Palestinians over the last 15 years.
But where has this portion of the money gone? If not to the cleaning of their water or their roads.

"So far, Israel has destroyed some 32 terror tunnels – each one requiring the equivalent of 350 truckloads of building supplies and costing up to $3 million to create, according to the IDF. And 3,360 short and medium-range rockets have been fired at Israel by Hamas and other militant Islamist groups, likely costing millions more."

The Palestinian government has decided to fund terrorism instead of their people.

The True Reasons Behind Gaza's Water Shortage

I have chosen number 17 because i believe that the article displays only one side of the story behind Gaza's water shortage, i want to dig deeper into the matter and learn for myself why exactly Gaza is without water.  I have heard many theory's about the cause of the water shortage before i read this article mostly including corruption in the Palestinian Government and it only makes me more interested in finding out the truth.  This article displays a dangerously bias point of view that in a democratic society must be argued until people have a clear take on both sides.

This blog will have a bias aproach about

the reasons behind the water shortage in Gaza,

the Corrupt terrorist organization

Hamas.
